Tricia Harrison, MSN, RN has been a Registered Nurse for 18 years. Her background consists of Emergency/Trauma/Psychiatric/Medical-Surgical bedside nursing, Case Management, and Simulation Senior Manager. She received her BSN from Beth El College of Nursing and Health Sciences at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 2002 and completed her MSN in Nursing Education & Leadership and Management from Capella University (Minneapolis, MN) in 2019. She is currently pursuing her DNP from Capella University (Minneapolis, MN). She holds a Nursing Faculty/Clinical Instructor position at Watts School Nursing/Watts College of Nursing in Durham, NC.
Ms. Harrison has facilitated learning in clinical, simulation, and laboratory experiences for first, second, and third semester pre-licensure nursing students in the Diploma Program at Watts School of Nursing. She has facilitated clinical experiences for pre-licensure, undergraduate Fundamental students in the BSN program and RN-BSN simulation and laboratory skills for Beth El College of Nursing and Health Sciences at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. In Fall 2020, she will facilitate learning in course room, clinical, simulation, and laboratory experiences for second semester, pre-licensure nursing students in the Diploma program at Watts School of Nursing.
Ms. Harrison’s interests include researching and developing knowledge, skills, and experiences as nurse faculty to engage and instill passion for learning of nursing students through simulation, laboratory, clinical, and course room experiences.
